Andronas Conservation Architecture is an award-winning practice focused on heritage architecture.

The practice has undertaken a number of important restoration projects, including St. Patrick's and St Paul’s Cathedrals in Melbourne, and Newman College in Parkville. We also have significant experience in the design and construction of new buildings in historically sensitive contexts.

Our built work has received peer recognition: we were awarded the Australian Institute of Architects National Award (Heritage Category) for our work at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne, and the Australian Institute of Architects Architecture Award (Heritage Category, Victorian Chapter) for our work at Newman College. We were awarded the 2020 Australian Institute of Architects Architecture Award - Conservation (Victorian Chapter) for our work on the State Library Victoria Redevelopment, in conjunction with Architectus + Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects, and the 2022 Australian Institute of Architects Architecture Award - Conservation (Victorian Chapter) for our work on the Keilor Police Hut.

In addition to our built work, we have extensive experience advising and assisting building owners and custodians with heritage permit applications, both to Local and State Government Authorities, and with the diagnosis of repair issues in historic buildings.

We have prepared many Conservation Management Plans, Heritage Impact Statements, Conditions Surveys and the like, which demonstrate our ability to analyse and articulate information relating to places of cultural heritage significance.
